Dimensions: 18 x 18 ″Medium: Dry Pastel on CanvasIn my recent paintings, I find inspiration in the unexpected moments of life, where memories intertwine with creativity to form a narrative of nostalgia and growth. This Diwali, a journey back to my childhood home unexpectedly reunited me with my long-forgotten applied arts tools. As I held them in my hands, I was transported back to my college days, where these tools were an extension of my artistic expression.
Bringing these tools back to my studio in Delhi sparked a revival of memories and experiences from my academic years. With each stroke of acrylic and dry pastel on canvas, I found myself revisiting the forms and shapes that once filled my college days. These forms, reminiscent of a bygone era, became the foundation of my artistic exploration.
As I delve deeper into my work, I infuse each canvas with the essence of my past, intertwining practical experience with academic knowledge. The nostalgia of those college days permeates every brushstroke, evoking a sense of joy and fulfilment in the creative process. Through my art, I aim to capture the essence of memory and nostalgia, inviting viewers to embark on their own journey of introspection and reflection.
