Enough to Protect
For Debajit, a weathered “Land for Sale” sign becomes a poignant reminder of the choices we make. As concrete expands and landscapes shrink, the remnants of nature’s splendour grow scarce. Yet traditions endure, allowing us to celebrate life’s beauty even as the world around us changes. This work is rooted in his memories of Tripura—vast fields to play in, mountains rising in the distance. Today, those mountains bear scars and the open fields have given way to homes, capturing the bittersweet tension between progress and loss.
