Debajit recalls wandering through Baroda’s night streets, observing the quiet dialogue between artificial and natural light. In this work, two firefighters stand poised, pipe in hand, looking up at the moon—an ordinary moment infused with a subtle unease. That tension echoes a 2023 news story about a Chinese spy balloon, moon-like, hovering over America, an incident that inspired him to capture a sense of poetic disquiet. Anyway, the moon will glow. The empty chair invites the viewer to step in, sit, and soak in the romantic stillness—caught between reality and the unknown
