This pilgrimage-like journey, undertaken alone, served as a catalyst for his exploration of mixed materials and abstract expression.
During these 10-days, Zainul immersed himself in the rural landscapes of India, observing the intricate details of rural culture, customs, and traditions. He lived with local farmers and adopted a life free of materials like plastic. This immersive experience left a profound impact on his perspective, leading him to adopt a more holistic approach to his artistic expression.
Inspired by the resilience and simplicity of rural life, Zainul began experimenting with a variety of unconventional materials such as seeds, dust, barley, worms, sand, wood, and soil.
