Soura Chatterjee

Soura Chatterjee

Soura Chatterjee (b. 1996, Chandannagar, West Bengal) is a New Delhi–based visual artist whose practice primarily revolves around painting and printmaking. Working in a semi-abstract visual language, Chatterjee’s work is shaped by his keen observation of everyday life, with a particular focus on social phenomena, cultural behaviour, and the political tensions within contemporary society. His art often reflects immediate surroundings, unfolding events, and the subtle dynamics of human interactions and structures, translated into layered, expressive compositions.
He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking from the College of Art, New Delhi, and a Master’s in Visual Art from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. His works have been exhibited in numerous group exhibitions across India and internationally. He has collaborated with and exhibited through institutions such as Gallery Time and Space (Bangalore), Gallery Space 118 (Mumbai), and the Ark Foundation (Baroda), among others.
In addition to his studio practice, Chatterjee is engaged professionally as an art documenter and detailing specialist at Delhi Art Gallery, where he continues to deepen his engagement with archival practices and contemporary art discourse.
