Biography

Born in 1992 (Maharashtra), Ciby studied drawing and painting, followed by Masters in portraiture from Sir J.J School of Art, Mumbai.
Through his work, Ciby attempts to reflect on the balance between the materialistic and the spiritual. As a child, he liked to visit the Church, listening to chants and witnessing rituals. His current works have been highly influenced by the imagery of gods, though he paints imaginary figures. The process of creating itself is a spiritual one for him, leading to solitude and serenity.
Ciby is the Inception Grant 2022 awardee and has been selected for the Lalit Kala Akademi - Delhi National Exhibition, 2019
