Brojeswer Mondal

Brojeswer Mondal

  • Biography

Born in 1994 (West Bengal), Brojeswer studied painting at Government College of Art, Kolkata, followed by completing his Masters from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata.

His recent works have been inspired by the tradition of Japanese drawing and landscape painting of Rabindranath Tagore. His art depicts the geographical impression, where some topographical landscapes have been simplified and turned into an abstracted imagery, often serene and meditative in nature. Brojeswer emphasises the natural site, insignificant corner, and unassuming objects, that become a meditative affair rather than cerebral.

Brojeswer was part of the Kochi student biennale 2020- 2021
