Born in 1995 in Odisha, Bedamati completed her Masters from MSU Baroda. Her practice explores the emotional weight of everyday objects, using still life and charcoal drawing to examine memory, class, and personal history. Ordinary items—a letterbox, fan, lamp, or water heater—become intimate repositories of inheritance and experience, each carrying traces of human presence and quiet narratives drawn from her own surroundings.
By isolating these objects, Bedamati invites viewers to reflect on their presence, decay, and the passage of time. Charcoal, with its fragility and impermanence, becomes a metaphor for fading memory and transient existence. Through darkness, selective detail, and a meditative drawing process, she transforms the mundane into the extraordinary, urging us to sit with the overlooked and uncover the emotional resonance embedded in the everyday.
