Ayushi Ojha

Ayushi Ojha

Born in 1999 in Bihar, Ayushi studied painting at Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda and is currently pursuing her Masters at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Delhi. Her practice is rooted in gesture, bodily movement, and the urge to create and respond. By moving across paper and leaving physical imprints, she creates layered, semi-abstract compositions that explore nature as a sentient, ever-changing entity. Influenced by memories from Kathmandu and Baroda, her works reflect on the transient qualities of landscapes shaped by time, light, and human impact.
Inspired by Amitav Ghosh, and drawing from Japanese, Chinese, and Indian painting traditions, Ayushi’s visual language connects ecological concerns with poetic reflections on place. Her river-scapes and aquatic ecosystems function as visual journals, merging research and memory to address climate change, endangered environments, and the fragile balance between humans and the natural world. Through these meditative explorations, she invites viewers to reconsider their relationship with nature and its sacred, ephemeral presence.
