Untitled - Deepanjali Shekhar

Dimensions: 26 x 17 ″Medium: Watercolour, gouache and tea toning on paper

Across these shifts, the self remained the only constant. Deepanjali moved between environments one shaped by restriction another by freedom. In Bengal, nature erased visible boundaries; in Baroda, the boundaries she carried within herself gradually
began to give way.

These layered experiences resist regular geometry. Deepanjali works instead with irregular, unconventional forms that mirror the complexity of lived experience. Memory and emotion transform into architectural elements that hold quiet narratives. Within
them, one or two figures appear—sometimes the self, sometimes its shadow—allowing the compositions to resolve through reflection and relationship.
