The set of five mixed-media sculptures draws from the Pandavas of the Mahabharata, reimagined not as warriors or historical figures but as archetypal energies in a pre-natal state of becoming. Curled inward like foetuses, the forms appear suspended in the womb, evoking the very beginning of human life—before identity, action, or destiny take shape. Intricately patterned and rendered in elemental tones, the sculptures merge mythological memory with universal themes of birth, consciousness, and potentiality.

The twin blue forms allude to Nakul and Sahadev, representing balance, intuition, and understated intelligence. In the Mahabharata, the twins are quiet presences, embodying grace, care, foresight, and inner knowing rather than overt heroism. Reimagined in a foetal, inward-curled state, they exist as dual aspects of consciousness. The colour blue reinforces their suspended, introspective quality, evoking depth and calm. Together, the twin forms suggest the silent forces that stabilise human existence—essential yet unobtrusive—gestating in a state of purity before identity and action come into being.
