Biography

Krishna Popaliya (b. 1998), a visual artist based in Baroda, she is an artist whose creative expressions are deeply rooted in her everyday experiences, her surroundings, and the environment of her workspace. Emotions and the pursuit of equality are at the core of Krishna's artistic vision. Utilizing nails and wires as her primary materials, she create powerful artworks that symbolize the pervasive issue of violence against women and the cyclical nature of their life experiences. She holds a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Sculpture from M.S. University of Baroda.

Krishna's works have been exhibited in prominent shows like “The Music Makers” at Apre art house Mumbai,25th April , “CIMA” Awards show at Cima art gallery, Kolkata (2025), “Assembly at the Garden of Hum”, M.S.U. exhibition hall, Vadodara,2024, “TACAE”, Gujarat art society, Gujarat state Lalit Kala Academy, Ahmedabad,2024, Abhivyakti city art project edition – 5, Gujarat University campus, Ahmadabad,2023“SACAE”, Gujarat art society, Gujarat state Lalit Kala Academy, Ahmedabad,2023, “[Tender buttons, and a] bellyache”, at Apre art house,Mumbai,2023,ABIR present art exhibitions at Bikaner house, Delhi ,2022,“Breaking the Mould”, Ananta art gallery, Delhi,2022 etc.

And also she doing some residence like Apre art house edition -2(July – August)2023, Space studio winter edition (4th October – 31 January) 2023-24.

Currently residing in Baroda, she continues to create captivating artwork that challenges societal norms and perceptice.
